Designate at least one shelf and one drawer in your refrigerator for your own healthy foods. Place bottles of juice, cups of yogurt, vegetables and fruit in these areas, and tell your family members or roommates to keep their foods away from that space if possible. Do the same thing in your cabinets; create some space for healthy foods that don’t need to be refrigerated.

When you need to cook or prepare healthy meals, you’ll need to have your cookware and utensils handy. Go through your kitchen and decide which items you’ll be most likely to use in the preparation of healthy meals.
