How Much Will You Weigh at a Certain Body Fat Percentage?

Posted in: Know Your Numbers, Weight Loss    |    Comments Off

I like to track my body fat percentage. But even though I know my body fat percentage is more important than the number on the scale, I still like to have a “scale number” to aim for. Problem is, the math gets complimicated! So, I created a calculator that will take your current weight and current body fat percentage and estimate your weight at different body fat percentages. Or, if you’ve got a body fat percentage goal, it’ll estimate your weight at that body fat.

Fat Loss Challenge – Week 3 Weigh-in and Measurements

Posted in: October 12th to December 13th, 2009, Week 3    |    Comments Off

Not a bad week, all things considered. Most people would be very happy with a gain in lean body mass. And I am happy about it, believe me! But I need to keep an eye on the fat gain. Bad eating habits tend to grow — along with your waistline! That’s why a feedback loop is so important.

Starting Measurements & Weight Loss / Fat Loss Goals

Posted in: Getting Ready for the Challenge, July to October 2009, Suzanne's Weight Loss Journey    |    3 Comments

Tomorrow (Monday) I’m starting my 12 week program/challenge/cycle, so today I weighed and measured myself. I’m going to use those measurements to set goals and to track my progress.

Weight: 138.8lbs
Thighs: 22 1/2″
Hips: 38 1/2″
Waist: 30 1/4″
Body Fat %: 22.30% (10mm) (using Accu-Measure – you can use my body fat percentage calculator)

Note on the body fat percentage: Personally, I feel I’m actually at a higher percentage. But unless you’ve got a real good reason, the actual number doesn’t matter as long as you use the same method each time to measure your body fat. This way, it will still track any progress you’ve made.

Also, notice that I haven’t set a weight goal.
