Ah, exercise.  Something that’s turned into a form of punishment because a lot of us were scared off by P.E. class.  The trick is to find something you enjoy doing!

Sure, you can lose weight by changing your eating habits, but exercise can not only help accelerate the weight loss—it makes your body stronger and healthier.

I’ve put together a list of the exercise tools and calculators you can find on FitWatch to help you on your exercise journey:

Calories Burned Through Exercise Ever wonder how many calories are burned during exercise? How many calories are burned while walking? How many calories are burned while biking? Or even how many calories are burned while sleeping? Use the FitWatch Physical Activity / Exercise Database to find out how many calories are burned doing the exercise you love—or don’t love! Search for your favorite activities / exercise to find out approximately how many calories are burned doing each one.

Target Heart Rate Zone Your target heart rate is the approximate number of heartbeats per minute at which your heart should beat during aerobic exercise. This calculator uses the Karvonen formula to determine target heart rate and should only be used as a guideline. Beginners may want to start at 50% intensity or lower.
