Barre-Inspired Booty Burn Workout Video

Butt, buttocks, backside, derriere or booty — whatever you want to call it, we all want to have a nice one.

I know, I know. We’re not supposed to focus on how we look. What’s really important is that a strong backside will help you to walk, run, bend, lift — and literally get you up off the couch.
But if we can look good, too? Well, I’m sure none of us will complain.
A firm butt does not sag. My old strength training coach said if you could hold a pencil underneath your butt cheek with no hands, you had LOTS more work to do.
Your butt is made up of several muscles, including the gluteus maximus (the largest and most superficial muscle), as well as smaller muscles that are deep within the butt, such as your piriformis. Put them all together and they help you extend (straighten) your hip and help move your leg from side to side.
Squats and lunges are phenomenal exercises to work your backside — and if you can do those, great. But not everyone can do squats and lunges. You may have joint issues or you may be at a stage in your weight loss program where it’s just not possible for you to squat.
These barre-inspired leg exercises from ACE fitness guru Linda Larue will help you sculpt a better butt. With assisted squats, hip extensions and figure 8′s, Linda shows you easy yet effective exercises you can do in the comfort of your home.
