Product Description Developed in the Navy SEALs, the TRX System is the original bodyweight-based Suspension TrainingTM System designed to deliver peak core functional fitness to soldiers, athletes, trainers and clientsindoors and out.
Amazon.com Product Description Designed by a Navy SEAL as a go-anywhere workout, the TRX Suspension Professional Trainer is a complete total-body training tool that helps athletes, military personnel, and fitness pros around the world take their performance to the next level. The TRX Suspension Professional Trainer is built around a set of nylon straps that create resistance from two sources always at your disposal: your body weight and gravity. Simply lock the straps to any elevated fixture--such as a pull-up bar, door, or tree branch--and you'll unlock new dimensions in your training.
The TRX Suspension Professional Trainer uses your body weight to create resistance.
The trainer offers a host of valuable benefits: it's easy to set up and highly portable, with a compact, lightweight design that works at home or on the go. If the gym isn't your thing or you want to work out in the privacy of your home, backyard, or hotel, this practical solution will make sure you can stay fit. It also lets you perform hundreds of functional exercises, so you can build strength, flexibility, core stability, and endurance. Perhaps most importantly, the TRX Suspension Professional Trainer supports all fitness levels and goals. By letting you harness your own body weight to create resistance, you can easily adjust the degree of difficulty (from 5 to 100 percent of your body weight) whether you're a beginner or an experienced athlete.
The TRX Suspension Trainer Professional starts with a pair of nylon straps, each of which features an integrated foot cradle for ground-based training along with a club-grade grip. The All-Body Xpress, Vol. 1 DVD, meanwhile, offers multiple cardiovascular and spot-training exercises that target all the major muscle groups in just 25 minutes. If that's too short, you can double up the routine for maximum endurance and strength building. The DVD also includes a bonus warm-up routine, expert tips and techniques, and a complete, waterproof fold-out usage and setup guide. Finally, the bundle comes with a lightweight, durable mesh storage bag with a drawstring closure.

I don't usually write reviews, and goodness knows I've owned just about every exercise device known to mankind. However, this is an excellent piece of equipment and so PORTABLE you can take it anywhere. I recommend the home training kit because it comes with the door anchor, which most users will need, and a great selection of DVDs. I was also very pleased with the quality of the DVDs. They were not cheesy like a lot of fitness DVDs tend to be. I have never looked forward to exercising in my life until I got the TRX. It is so much fun. I will warn you that unless you are already in great shape expect to be sore for the first couple of weeks until your body adjusts. I worked muscles I didn't even know I had. Another benefit to the system is it is so easy to use and easily adjusts to any level - beginner to advanced. I would give the TRX 10 stars if I could. If you are serious about getting in shape, I highly recommend it.
Regardless of "Fake" reviews, TRX Suspension Training is a great workout!December 2, 2009 p1o2i3(Michigan) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I have been using TRX suspension trainers at my gym once a week for the last 5 weeks, and I can vouch that these provide an intense workout. These are especially handy because they can be used by people of all fitness levels. True, alot of these exercises can be done with cheaper or no equiptment at all, but that is only the case if you are strong enough to do so. 5 weeks ago, I could barely do 1 pushup. There was no way that I would be able to do anything that even resembled a workout by just doing pushups. However, using the TRX trainers allowed me to adjust my resistance, so that I could get used to the form and build up my strength. After only using the trainers 5 times, I was able to do 6 pushups without struggling the other day!
So the final verdict? Yes, you could probably scrape together a similar system to exercise with for less money. However, the convenience of TRX is great, and it is one of the best workouts I have ever tried.
Buy This. It goes ANYWHERE!!!December 10, 2008 Aaron Perkins(US ARMY) 8 out of 11 found this review helpful
Read about this last winter (2007) and wasn't able to purchase it until MAy this year while I was in Iraq. I went from PT stud to dud after a few months sweating my balls off over there with no time to hit the gym thanks to all the Fobbits and Officers that lived in the facilities. I had about one hour each night to work out, shower, and get ready for the next day. With the TRX Fitness Trainer ( www.fitnessanywhere.com ) I brought my PT score back up to a 289 and maintained that for redeployment and the APFT we have every month here.
Seriously, this made it through the airports with no problem, fit in my backpack, weighs four (4) pounds, and can be attached ANYWHERE like it's namesake says. It works your core as well as your superficial muscle groups. I saw more improvement in 12 days of this than one month in the gym and it only took about 20 minutes each night to get there. Oh, I was hurtin', but I increased my endurance and strength and am Ranger ready for when that rolls around.
Buy this product and tell your friends. It's great for ALL levels of fitness, better for folks who are injured or on profile. This is no joke. Developed by a Navy Seal and tested by the best.
Best Fitness Product On The MarketDecember 13, 2008 Michael D. Miranda(FOB Lightning, Afghanistan) 12 out of 17 found this review helpful
This is simply put the best, most versatile piece of exercise equipment you can own. As a deployed Army Officer, maintaining my fitness level is obviously important to me but with unreliable access to traditional training resources, it can be difficult to follow a regular strength training program. Enter the TRX. Requiring nothing but your own body weight and something to anchor to (I have literally used everything from a truck to a shipping container to a Hesco barrier to anchor off of) this simple, portable, suspension trainer will push you to your limits. Capitalizing on the principle of instability, the TRX forces you to engage your core and stabilizer muscles on nearly every exercise. A simple pushup becomes a full-body exercise when suspended in the TRX. The best thing, however, about the TRX is that it's intensity is fully "scalable." Since you are pulling your own bodyweight, you can change the workload with a simple adjustment of your feet placement (changing the angle and thus the amount of weight you are working with). This makes the TRX a tool that will continue to challenge you as you progress in strength and skill; additionally, it is the perfect tool for group or partner workouts, since there is no changing of weight plates or machine levels to accommodate different experience/strength levels; you and your training partner can effortlessly workout together which translates into more efficient workouts in less time! Bottom line- it doesn't matter if you are just looking to get a little more activity in your life or if your life depends on maintaining excellent physical fitness, BUY THIS PRODUCT!
Most intense workout I've ever hadJanuary 13, 2010 M. Evans(Houston, TX) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've worked with athletic trainers for over a year, had some workouts so intense they left me wanting to either faint or throw up, but nothing has given me results as fast as TRX. My new gym offered a 6-week course, and wanting a new challenge, I signed up. Our class was given without breaks, one hour of moving from compound exercise to compound exercise, and there were moments when I had to just keep breathing and endure it, but wow. I got so much stronger within 6 week (and I'm a small-framed female!) that every other exercise in the gym was loads easier - suddenly pushups were easy, I could lift so much more weight on virtually every body part.
TRX workouts are really only worth the effort you put into them, but if you push yourself to the max, you will build crazy joint stability and loads of strength. My gym halted the classes during the holidays, so I ordered the bands for home. I may or may not be able to push myself as hard as the trainer did (at one point, a man in our TRX class actually dropped to his knees, out his head on the mat and prayed lol), but having seen the results, I have to say this is my favorite workout I've ever done.
