This is kind of like reviewing a pencil- you sharpen it and it writes- use the other end if you make a mistake.
Well, how much can you say about a foam roll. You lay it down and then you lay down on it. Can be kicked under the couch for those that don't want to lift it. If you drop it, it won't break. Well, don't take my word for it. Read more reviews about a foam roll to be sure.
Seriously though, as foam rolls go, this one is good. It's high density foam, so it won't break apart like the kind of foam that is used to package boxed items. I weigh 175 pounds and found it to be firm YET there's an inherent amount of "give" to it that keeps it from becoming uncomfortable.
So if you're interested in a foam roll to stretch out on, I'd have to say this is a good choice. Also consider Treat Your Own Spinal Stenosis if you need a decent exercise program for your back.

I have owned this for about a month now and use it every day. I have not noticed and loss to the firmness of the roller and it is preforming great.

I didnt believe the hype about the foam roller but it works. I have some compression issues in my low back. Im pretty athletic and really hurt myself. I have used the foam roller twice a day for about 3-5 min each time. I never bought any of the books. Roll on your back from neck to low back. When you get to the sensitive part, hold it until the pressure releases. I do that over and over again. My entire spine moves and pops with this thing, its awesome!
My husband has ruptured disks and finds relief in it as well. I will use this forever.
Not to mention, my low back hasnt been able to move much or pop in MONTHS. After 1 week it has regained mobility and pops regularly!!

Great quality foam rollers. More dense than the blue EVA ones but not as dense as the OPTP High Density rollers. There is still a rubbery give to them By far my most favorite foam roller, my clients love them as well.

I have had a very painful spasm in my lower back for over 7 months. I've seen multiple chiropractors, an acupunturist, 2 massage therapists and my general practitioner not to mention trying multiple topical treatments and OTC pain killers. My GP recommended physical therapy and a foam roll. I decided to try the foam roll before forking out the cash for PT. The foam roll is the only thing that has made a real difference other than expensive deep tissue massage. I'm able to roll on exactly the spot with the spasm and use my body weight to massage it out. Not to mention I can roll my whole back and get it to pop a few times. I also use the roll after workouts or when I am sore.
Yes, it hurts some but not in a bad way. It's a deep muscle massage that hurts so good. If you have any muscle pain or soreness you'll be glad you have one of these on hand.
