This book not only stimulates the conscious creation of a healthy fit body, free from the thoughts that food will make you gain weight, but it also is a model of thinking for anything in life, and in my opinion is the way we can live an empowered life on any level. I am a believer in this way of thinking and the consciousness behind it, and have found that the book is such a support for that and a reminder where weight management is concerned, that just picking up the book does something! I swear. The mind is the most powerful thing we have and with it we can do whatever we want and dream. So this book helps us with the tools to live from that belief system rather than buying into old outmoded ideas. Patricia has brought a gift to the world and I hope it helps many people get healthy and happy about their bodies and supports the younger generations struggling with weight to believe honoring things about their relationship to food and their body. As for the CD set that accompanies this, it is a wonderful addition with comprehensive empowering affirmations for the mind, and I use it when I go to sleep primarily, but the book stands on its own as well. Buying both is a bonus for sure to the program.

Well, I have to say, this book is truly coming from a new and very empowering perspective. I haven't found anything remotely like it in the weight control book market. The author is basically telling us what the quantum physicists have been saying...that everything is energy, including our bodies and food...and our minds direct the energy. We're overweight not because of all the reasons we think we're overweight, (like "I don't exercise enough", "I'm menopausal", "I eat too much", "It's genetic"), but because of what we believe about food, ourselves and our bodies.

She builds a very convincing case for why we can eat whatever we want, as much as we want and still lose weight. It's all a mental process, having nothing to do with exercising or counting calories. I really like that she walks her talk. She lost weight and has stayed at her ideal weight for years, using exactly the principles and tools she offers in the book.

I initially read all the way through the book, and am now going back and practicing the steps. I like that she's providing a very clear "how to" program that anyone can follow if they're commited and motivated. (which I am!) I'm already feeling WAY less conflict about fat and food....and have gotten my skinny jeans out of storage with a confidence that I'll be wearing them soon! I'll probably get the CD that she offers as I like the idea of just relaxing and listening to the positive reinforcement.

I heartily recommend this book to anyone really serious about giving up the battle of the bulge.

Freedom from Food provides the reader with a doorway out of the futlity cycle of non stop dieting. I personally have lost over 300 LBS, 10 LBS at a time over the past 20 years and each time regaining the weight I have lost plus a bonus. After I read Ms Bisch's book and have been using her tools I finally feel in control of my weight and, yes, I am reducing at a speed that amazes me. Her system of quantum thinking is brilliantly conceived and written. If you are committed to weight loss I urge you to buy this book. Although the book is complete by itself, the author has provided a CD set that she recommends as an adjunct to her program. I use them every evening to support my commitment to my health and wellbeing

This book was very enlightening and quite inspirational. It connected the mind with the body which made a great deal of sense to me. I would highly recommend this book to anyone seeking a new approach to weight loss.

This book has helped me to move beyond over-hyped diets and learn to FREELY eat whatever I want whenever I want without gaining weight. The Practice Sessions are an excellent, easy-to-follow guide that has helped me to shift my perspective on food and its relationship to my body. I continue to be amazed with how I can eat guilt free and maintain my perfect healthy body weight. I found the CD's to be a great support system for the book but I also feel that the book is an excellent resource on its own. I wish you the best on your journey to true freedom from food!
